The chapter will organize a training day coordinator whose responsibility is to organize the day's events and necessary supplies. Typically the chapter will request what you're working on with your dog and pair handlers
with other who share similar goals. The groups then meet up and work together to progress your dog toward that goal. The training days mimic hunting and testing scenarios. The chapter has all the necessary equipment to host and replicate tests.
Training days are typically all day affairs with as much or more being learned from observing others as from handling your own dog.
Below is our 2024 training schedule as well as a link to the coordinator for that training day. Please email the coordinator your training goals and bird orders for that day.
Yourself and your dog. Ample water for both of you. Your leash, check cord and e-collar (if appllicable). Bug spray, sunscreen, boots, whistle, lawn chairs and most likely lunch. And lastly an open mind: take the training advice for what it's worth - pick and choose what fits with your training program.
